Ahh, must be from that MCNE course.
I suppose you could teach them how to install ground clamps on it using the right wire (NOT doubled-up CAT5). That's something I find they never get right.
-Hal Actually, that's a good point. Up until now we've only covered grounding and bonding in the theory. Next semester I'll incorporate it into the labs. Just have to wait until the next fiscal year to buy the materials. Don't think I'll be using that pipe though. I'm hoping the facilities people eventually get around to removing it.

Dave If I show you a picture of my office, or my garage for that matter, you won't want me near your workshop. :p

I like it. Keep up the good work. Hey, Clinton, I think I know where you can get some ground wire!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to do with my cabling lab so far, but it's a never ending project. Originally posted by ev607797: I like it. Keep up the good work. Hey, Clinton, I think I know where you can get some ground wire! Maybe you could hold onto a roll for me until our next budget in April. I was tempted to buy a few of those NIDs you had posted back in November too.

Good job, Clinton!
The copper pipe is to make the room more like a REAL phone room. When the budget comes in, they'll install a rather large water heater. That way the students know what to expect in the field.
