Cool. Is that BIX next to the Norstar and 110 on the other backboards? You should consider having some 66 blocks somewhere. Still my preference and a lot of them out there that a student will encounter someday.

Right now the students work with both 110 and BIX. All of my terminations and cross connects are BIX. I do plan on adding 66 blocks, but I don't think I'll have the students do much more than run jumpers on them. As grider says, they aren't common here.

The copper pipe is to make the room more like a REAL phone room. When the budget comes in, they'll install a rather large water heater. That way the students know what to expect in the field. Don't forget 2 large HVAC units, a sink, mop bucket, several brooms, a few broken chairs, the Christmas tree and decorations, a garden hose, 50 year old insulation hanging out of the ceiling, and five pounds of dust. Oh, almost forgot, take out all those nice bright lights and hang a single 60 watt bulb in the far corner.

I don't think I could handle all of the whining if my students had to deal with all of that. As it is, everyone leaves the lab itching from head to toe from the insulated ceiling tiles.
