I just picked up new customer. Not sure how to log into BCM 1000. I was informed need Nortel PC software and also informed that you only need Web browser and IP address, I am not sure which one is correct. I have the system's IP address and access modem number. Can someone direct me to programming resources?

kewcomm - WELCOME For the BCM 1000, you need connection from laptop to the BCM - crossover cable. Then using Internet Explorer you can access the BCM with the IP address (you must have your pc at the correct coresponding IP address ). Then with the proper USER name and Password, you should gain access. If you are trying to dial in remotely, you have to set up a "Dial-Up Connection" in your computer, then when connected launch your Internet explorer.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

Web browser or Element Manager depends on software version. If EM is required there is a copy stored on the BCM. Access to download EM is as described by NTlayoff. You will also need proper version of Java on your laptop.

Thank you for your assistance. I located BCM info sheet on site and it has IP address followed by :6800. Does this indicate older version if so what version of Java do I need? My laptop is set for most recent version of JAVA. Also once I log in are the propmts similar to the MICS or Call pilot menus that I am familiar with? You guys are saving my butt thanks again

:6800 is a port. Use 5.0 java https://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp Not sure what you were using for MICS programming or Call Pilot (telest, browser etc.)or what versions you had so cannot answer properly. Either way it's a whole new ballgame when comes to programming the phone system. Call Pilot is same as the 100/150

You can access the BCM system with a telset for phone programing. It is alot like a MICS. The v-mail can only be accessed through the BCM 1000 web page. It is just like a call pilot web browser login.
