Have a BCM 400 not powering up, Customer had a PC power supply installed it powered up BCM, power came up then shut off after 20 seconds. May not be proper voltage. Is it worth purchasing a duplicate power supply and trying it. May have received power surge. Any luck with these comming back on line.
Thanks

You should put in a power supply that is meant for BCM. Any other power supply may not have the same specs and same power ratings - May not have the same pin layout which means you could damage something. Power up for 20 sec then dies - sounds like the PC power supply is under-rated, or you have a major problem in the BCM.

I have used PC power supplies in BCM's at Costco. Make sure that the wattage is the same or more. It should work.
