I have run into a new problem on a CICS with a CP 100. When I call in and hear the AA and press # for a directory, it doesn't work. No matter what I enter, it will say "not found" and go back to the beginning. The only one in the directory is the general delivery VM box. All users in VM are set up to be in the directory, and their names are entered. Here's a clue. When I dial [feature] 980, and press DIR, no matter what I enter, there is no one in the directory except the General Delivery VM. Could there be a problem with the CP?

Use the first rule of pc troubleshooting: When in doubt, reboot.

Can you connect to the CP with a computer?

There is also a checkbox in the user's mailbox setup that says "show in directory" or words to that effect. Make sure it is checked.

like Yoda said, check the show in directory function. And users have initialized their mailboxs right?

Yes, all obvious things checked. All users are supposed to "show in directory", there's a "yes" for that. Mailboxes are initialized, PWs changed. I even created a new user from scratch, initialized the mailbox and set it up. Name recorded and PW changed. Going to try the other obvious: reboot.

How about one more obvious check.

In the Call Pilot System Properties, Do you have a check in the box for Make Directory Available ???

Of course thinking more about that, if unchecked you may not even get the Directory prompt.

I'm replying to this for future reference. The issue had to do with the way user names were entered. Call pilot wants to see last name, first name, and they looked right through the phones, but When they were first set up, the names were set up in such a way that the directory did not see them. I had to log in with the GUI to see this.

There is a box that says:
Directory by first, last, or both.

If you selected both. It would not have mattered which order.

I haven't been on site since the issue was resolved, but I believe it was something like the directory listing was checked for search by last name and the names were all programmed as first. It was obvious when I logged in to the GUI.
Thanks all!
