My FastRAD works when directly attached to the PC.  However what I would like to do is have the PC remote to the phone system and use our IP network. Has anyone done this?

Anyway, here is what I have:

Phone system ---------> Aux port of a Cisco router ---->  IP network -------> PC with Tactical Software running.

Set up emulation software to use COM2 as a reverse telnet to the Cisco Aux port (xxx.xxx.105.248 4001).  Port 400x tells the Cisco to use RAW telnet.  I also configured the Serial/IP to use RAW.

When I try to connect, I get:
14:55:43.718 COM2 : | Open
14:55:43.718 COM2 : | Driver: SISerial 4.9.3
14:55:43.718 COM2 : | Current UART Settings:

14:55:48.859 COM2 : | FlushTX
14:55:48.859 COM2 : | FlushRX
14:55:48.859 COM2 : | Close

My Cisco config reads:
line aux 0
modem InOut
no exec
transport input all
escape-character NONE
stopbits 1

Other settings I have messed with include:
Attempts with RAW telnet and binary telnet yield similar results (4001 or 6001).
Force set speed (tx and rx to 9600)
Force set DSR, DCD, and CTS high failed
Changes to escape-character to BREAK or NONE failed
Set stopbits to 2
Tried hardware, software, NONE flowcontrol

If you have any thoughts that can push me along, I would gratly appriciate it.

I would say its a cable issue, are you using the same cable to connect to your PC (null modem)?

I think you are correct, that it has to do with the cable. Unfortunately, I can not use the same cable as used with the RAD to PC as that is DB9 to DB9, the RAD to Cisco needs DB9 to RJ45. I pinned out the DB9 to DB9 and it appears to be straight. The pin out for the RJ45 to DB9 is an issue. Hoping someone has already done this.

Null modem adapter between the cable and RAD maybe might help.

You may actually need a modem cable since it's not a PC you are connecting to.

Try connecting a modem cable between your db9/rj45 cable and the aux port. This will cross over the tx/rx lines.
