A new digital Panasonic has been installed with 6 hunting CO's. Line 1 will not ring in the number one position of the system but it will ring in any other position. Any line connected to the number one position will not ring there. We have reset the system, reprogrammed ringing lines and even went back to Graybar 3 times for a new system. Line 1 will not ring no matter what!! Any ideas anybody?
well, you know it's not the system, or the line. There's only 2 things it could be. Programming or the connection between the dmark to the Key unit. I'm leaning toward the connection. (jack, wire etc.)
If I read your problem right it sounds like you can do everything with line one but have it ring.If that's the case I would double check all line cos and all system cos and all station cos that deals with line one on the system. In most cases it's something silly that's casing your problem

You need to make sure you have defaulted the system properly, follow the instructions to the letter, if not (and I am speaking from experience) the system will not default completely. Use the little paper that came inside the system when it was brand new.

I ran across this problem 2 days ago.The jumpers were punched on 1st(blu) and 2nd(org) pair 66 Block. Punched the ATT RJ45 jack with all 4 pair, phone still would not work or ring. I had to move the the 2nd(org)pair to the green (3&6)on tne jack bingo. we had tried a new card new staion wire yada yada, But the jack's are wired different. There is always the somthing little. I hope this may help
make sure your programming is correct for ringing to the extension you want to ring, also be sure you are in the right mode that you are programming ...ie...daymode...780...night mode...781.
dial intercom 780 from sta 101 and press the # key and be sure you are in day mode. check programming for day mode on that set. also try a regular 2500 type set on the first port OR take the wireing off to the stations that may have an analog station working and ringing. You may have a drainage of the analog pair causing failure of the generator on a analog port that will stop the generator from getting to a digital phone. The reason for this is there is the same station number on the analog side as the digital side. Even though they are not paralled at this point, a short or a ground on one side could cause this kind of problem. I would use a spare 25 pair tail and a block on the end of one station set of wires, clear the rest of the wires from shorting and troubleshoot it with the one station.
The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask as that is the question that can make or break you. Brad
