Have a KXTD816 that has OGM setup so that it answers the incoming calls and places caller on music on hold. Is there a programming code to turn OGM on and off. Is it possible to change OGM 1 to OGM 2 and vary after how many rings OGM cuts in. thanks

The system is a plain vanilla KXTD816 dash 6. The KXTD816 now has an enhanced DISA incorporated with a built in auto attendant feature without an addin card.

OK, so there is no TVS (or voice mail) at all. Yes it is possible to change the greetings, the digit translations, the AA wait time, the call forwarding no answer time the intercept time and so on. If your only concerned with using the AA, MAKE SURE you disable the "outside line call" feature or your leaving your system open to "phreekers" or toll call hackers. Evan though you can password protect this.
For less then $200.00 more then the 191 DISA card you could have went into a small TVS 50 which offers AA, custom menus, voice mail, auto fax detection and more. Unless you have an absulute need for employees to call in remotely and outcall through your system I would not have used the DISA card. That said, your into programming where you really need a certified technician. It just dawned on me, are you sure this is a KX-TD 816 or a KX-TD 1232-6 configured for 8-16? The DISA 191 card is for the KX-TD 1232 only. To my knowlage Panasonic never offered DISA on a KX-TD 8-16 [This message has been edited by MrGemini (edited August 25, 2003).]

OK this is what Ihave worked out for OGM Ext 201 and 202 are on Hunt Group 1 [106] HuntType Group 1 Ring [131] Hunt Group Asn Group No 01:01 Ext 201 Group No 01:02 Ext 202 [132] Host Group Name 01:Incoming [134]Hunt Intercept Day 01:Ext201 [135] Hunt Intercept Nit 01:Ext201 [137] UCD T Table UCD01:1 ( if =not stored this should stop OGM all together) [138] UCD T Table Night UCD01:2 [139] UCD Table 1:S1-->2T-->S2-->4T--> 2:S3--> --> --> --> [407] DIL 1:1 Asn Day CO01:Ext290 CO02:Ext290 [408] DIL 1:1 Asn Nit CO01:Ext290 CO02:Ext290 [813] FLT Ext No Hunt Grp 01:290
Intercept is 12 rings can change this to determine when OGM starts.
What are S1 , 2T, S2, 4T in line 1 of UCD T.Table (presumably which OGM 1-4 is used and repeat messages after how long.)
What is the S3 in UCD line 2 of the UCD T table (?OGM3)
thanks for advice

None of these programming codes correspond at all to the KX-TD1232. What country are you in? The UK & Canadian versions are different. This is somewhat intricate programming, what happened to the original installer? How many CO lines are there total? This sounds as though your using DID or a Pri. or T-1

Its a KXTD816AL (Australia) Dash 2 Rom Version P421Q2041OA Four Incoming Lines CO1 and CO2 on Hunt Group 1 CO3 - Direct in Fax line (used as a voice line out) C04 -- External line from another dept.
The company I bought the system from installed it and said they would be back to fine tune things. I keep phoning them and they don't show up. They say they will charge $100 for a callout or $1200 for a yearly maintenance. They are not prepared to sell me the the System Feature Guide or the Programming. I contacted Panasonic Australia and they weren't prepared to sell me the manuals. They said that this would put the certified distributors out of business but I could contact my supplier/installer and see if they were prepared to sell me the manuals -they said they would email a pdf file with all the programming codes, but again this was all talk. They tried to sell me a phone manager type software for $400 but the trial software wouldn't install so I gave up on that.I looked around on the internet and found that in the US there are companies that sell the manuals with their systems and recommend "programmator". I found out about system programming. Spent a few hours copying down all the code from main extension 7433 phone , so that I had a baseline. Oleg the guy from programmator upgraded his pc based program so that it would read the rom version correctly, however his program won't address the UCD tables.
I think I have worked out how to change the OGM and its timing.
To switch off the OGM I need to get rid of all values out of the UCD timetables.
The S1,S2,S3 correspond to OGM1 OGM2 OGM3.
The 2T and 4T represents time blocks.
So when the first line of the UCD table is called S1-->2T-->S3--4T means that after 12 rings (default intercept = 12 rings) OGM 1 is played then after a further block of rings (2T) OGM 2 is played and then after a block of time twice that of 2T (4T) the line is dropped.
ONe more question my system which I bought 2 months ago seems to be a dash 2 ("2" is in a circle on the model/serial no. plate on the KXTD unit). I note that else where the KXTD units are up to dash 7. I would like to be able to find a lunch break mode but can't find it anywhere. Am using manual night mode for this and then just switching on an answering machine at night.
Do the Australian versions have an extra mode for lunch breaks?
Thanks for your help.

Apparently they decided to leave out the lunch break mode in the AU versions. Asked a certified Aussie tech- he confirmed that. Maybe we aren't supposed to have lunch breaks?

We didn't get the lunch mode until version 4 and even then it was to ring certain phones. The later versions will allow the switch to set the TVS in lunch mode for a specific message. Wish I could have helped you out but I'm just not familiar with the Ausi. models.
