Anyone familiar with the old Northcom 1A3 KSUs. This was Mfg. in 84 by Vodavi.
Looking mostly for programming Info.
Wouldn't think it would be more then a page or 2. This unit is a 6X12

I'm sure they can e-mail you the program manual. I don't know what they charge for it.

Programming is done from Ext. 70 (1st station)
Lift Handset (dont use speaker)
Press INT
Dial # and Program Code
Enter data
Hang up Handset
You can default the system to 6 lines, all phones ring, no toll restriction, DTMF signalling by:
Lift Handset - press INT - dial #09 - Hang up
As far as the specific Line and Station programs, feel free to e-mail me.

DTMF & TTT, thanks guys, I have a manual
coming from Manuals Plus.
Were only using 2 of the 6 CO inputs and 5 stations.
Calls are being dropped and volume is fluctuating on all stations.
Mfg. date is 84. I think the relays are getting weak. trying to talk him into a new system but he won't budge.

open the case and blow it out with an air gun, or compressed air, that might help.

test-OK, that is a good idea, I'll think I'll try it, can't hurt.
What do you think about using one of those spray contact cleaners on it? (with it powered down of course)

If you need any help we have work on these Northcom Telephone System 1A3 system for the last 3 years, we finally got them to upgrade to a new system but we have tons of phone & system for sale at a cheap price..

This is one of those friend of the family deals. I've been trying to get this guy into a new system for 2 years now.
Not to use this board to vent but I can't help wondering why is it always close friends or friends of the family who you bend over backwards for,give rock bottom prices and damn near free labor after hrs. and wkends. who try to squeeze the last nickle out of some 20 or 30 year old system or ask you work on some piece of crap they bought on line from B.F Egypt with a manual in 3 languages except english who refuse to trust your years of experince in the business???
Makes one wonder who their real friends are!
