Hello.
We currently have a house with 15 wired phones. Only one voicemail box - all phones in that user group (forget the correct name). So each phone gets a message waiting light and can check the single mailbox for messages. But as soon as we set it up this way (before we had only one phone in the house be the voicemail phone) we lost the live call screening feature to hear the message as its being left.
Is there anyway to set all phones in a single voicemail group AND use live call screening from any/all extensions? Supplier and Pan have me chasing my tail on this one.
Thanks in advance.

You could drop the group mailbox and direct all calls to one box, then put msg buttons for that ext on all phones. The one ext could then have LCS.

Thanks Guys, thats too bad.
Brokeda - thats exactly how we had it setup originally, but when my programmer made the change he *thought* it would allow LCS from any extension. The problem with the former setup is that even if he can hear the kitchen LCS from the bedroom, there's no way to interrupt the message and take the call from the bedroom phone - he has to run to the kitchen phone. Combine that with the freakin ridiculous caller id logging issue with the 848 and its turned into a mess.
Thanks again, great resource here.

I don't think you should be allowed to complain unless you have sat through the training class.this would also help those who sell the equipment without really knowing the short cominings of the product.

We currently have executive overide turned on and it works fine. When LCS worked we could pick up and interrupt the message as well. What I'm trying to do is have LCS on all wired phones with a single, system wide mailbox. CID calls are not logged and stored in the system once the call goes to VM. If this has been fixed, then I'm not aware of it. Finally, I have been selling and installing Pan phones for a while now and have sat through multiple training sessions. Thanks again for the help.

thats nice !ok then you'd know that you can not do lcs on a group!if you want to log calls first do not have the voicemail pickup calls right away use intercept routing.here is a fix for you modify a telephone and bridge the speaker output over the whole house stereo system(or you could bridge the audio to the bgm connection if thats not being used)you installed then take that ext set it as a parrallel ext and loop it over to its own line key and lable it barge-in and then now a call comes in and because nobody just picks up the phone and says hello anymore they wind up in voicemail jail.beep >>>>> I know your there pickup pickup pickup .....barge in recording stops.......

Thanks. We have a 20 second delay before the VM picks up, but the 848 still doesn't log the calls in the system. I'll look into intercept routing.
Thanks for other tip too.
