I have a Panasonic KX-TD1232 w/ KX-TVS100VPS & KX-T7433 Phone set(s)(Also several 7020's). Is there a way to enable ringing on all CO'S while Off-Hook on the 7433 and/or other phones? Also, what are the steps for changing the "tone" intercom to voice intercom (i.e. If I press Intercom and enter the desired extension # I can simply begin talking to the party at the dialed Intercom extension without them picking up- as long as they are not on the phone)?

intercom 7311 or 2 at each extension is call waiting tone enable. if you already have day ringing assignments your phone will bleep when a second call comes in
intercom xxx and a star will evoke a voicecall
called party will have to pick up or hit the
speakerphone button to talk suggest that you light the auto answer button

intercom xxx and a 1 is offhook voice announce
must be enabled and will not work if ext is fwd b/na to voicemail or anywhere for that matter.

CountyWide, Thank you for the timely response. Do you know if there is there a way to enable ringing on all CO'S while Off-Hook on the 7433 (and/or other phones)? I am not looking for call waitnig tones but actual ringing on a phone that is OffHook? Example: The receptionist phone is the ONLY phone that is set to ring in the office, when the receptionist is on line 1 (i.e. OffHook)I want that same phone to ring audibly so that another employee can hear the ring, pick up and answer the call from any another phone(this phones ringer, obviously, is turned off). Thanks!

plug a common audible/ext chime into her xdp jack
turn on xdp at her ext and give it identical
ringing assignments to the receptionist

jphoneman, the system will not ring a pits phone if it's off hook.
I would do as CountyWide suggested and use an XDP port. You know you don't have to come off the actual phone, you could come off the MDF with any XDP port to an external ringer, wall or ceiling mounted, over PA system or just an old SLT setting on a file cabinet or something.

Kxtd does ring off hook phones if call waiting is enabled, takes about 3-6 seconds to start depending on revision, and works best with call waiting tone 2 selected.
Program 99 5 2 AutoDial/Store. selects cw tone 2.
Intercom 7311 turns on Call Waiting, which is actually Subdued Off Hook Ringing.

It seems to be about half of whatever the ringer is set on for reg ringing.

No way to adjust cw volume?
Also, regarding the KX-T7020 and/or KX-T7030 Phone sets, is there a way to enable/disable the Line Pick Up Mode (ie Pick up the incomming call by simply lifting the Handset and talking vs having to push the lit "Line" Button?
