I have a customer who has an 824 using one pots line and one voip line (trying to get him to change this to copper) all is working excpet when the customer tries to confrence these lines, it gets very garbled. Any ideas what may be causing this? I was thinking it may be a bandwith issue on the voip line, but was not sure

it is most likly to be bandwith what speed do you have? is it ADSL or SDSL?
turn off a pc's and try again if possible.what is the reception like just on the voip line

it's adsl, voip sound is fine when the lines are not confrenced. I have also been told the conference featire on the 824 is not the bes, it kind of just bridges the lines together...possibly supplying the voip gateway with 48 volts of battery...

a few more suggestions came in tonight..possible tip/ring reversal on the pots line..

why not do a 3 way call on the voip line
for conference works much better than bridging
the lines?
