Is there a way to program the vmail button on a version 6.03 CPC-B DBS to auto log into voicemail? We need it to dial the vm group 600 then dial * and the ext#. Any ideas?

I know you can do it with a DBS and a VoiceTrak. I am sure it would be the same procedure. The integration digits may require a specific sequence of digits. Do you have the Amanda software? If so, the integration digits would be explained on the CD. Or call Amanda Tech support 1-800-410-2745.

The Pana/VTrak scenerio is done by creating a speed dial bin. I use system speed dial bins which are bins 000-199 I think. You have to set the bin up with what ever digits the Amanda needs to hear (i.e, *ext#) Also I try to match the bin # and the ext #. (makes it a little easier IMO). If you set it up as a speed dial bin you would program the button as a "one touch voice mail access" key. Instead of the VM pilot (600 usually) you would enter in the Speed dial bin #. When the button is pressed, it takes the user directly to the password prompt.

Hope this helps, goodluck :thumb:

Yea, what Rich said.
:toast: The following 3rd party VM notes are from my website:

Note that you can only program a "lighted" button at the user level if there is NOT a CO line currently assigned to the button.
=======================================

Voice Mail Message Key
A Voice mail message key can be programmed on any button with lights. A VM message key will flash when a message has been received and can be pressed to automatically login to a mailbox. VM message key is programmed at each phone that needs one.

Press "ON/OFF"
Press "PROG"
Touch button to be programmed
Press "CONF", "AUTO"
Dial VM Pilot hunt number
Press "AUTO"
Dial 9XX (this entry represents one of the ten speed dial buttons on the phone, 900-909)
Press "HOLD"
This programs the button to call the voice mail system and then dial whatever is stored in speed dial location 9XX when answered.

To program additional data into the 9XX bin,
Press "ON/OFF"
Press "PROG"
Press "AUTO"
Dial 900-909 or press the associated speed dial button (lower left is 900, upper right is 909)
Dial any digits that the voice mail needs to login to the mailbox (typically a certain digit plus the mailbox number)
Press "HOLD"
