Hi all,

I just bought a KX-TES824 which seems to be a great little unit however I'm having a real battle getting my head round the config software. It just doesn't seem particularly logical and the manual typically guides you through setting it up through the KX-T7730.

I used to develop ACD's a good few years back and maybe have too many expectations for this little unit...

I think my needs are very basic and I have solved most things but a little help with the following would be great...

I have 1 C/O line and 8 extensions where Jack 1 is the KX-T7730 and will be the office main extension and the rest are a variety of SLT's where Jack 2 is the second office ext.

I have configured the flexible buttons so..
1 is the C/O
2-9 DSS to the SLT's
11-12 One Touch to swap between Day / Night Mode.

Questions...

1. Anyway of making it so I don't need to press sp-phone when swapping between day / night mode.

2. I know # will display the current Day mode, but is there anyway to light the Flexible button LED to reflect the current state.

3. In Day mode I simply want an incoming call to ring either of the available office extensions.

4. In Night mode I want to drop one of the office extensions and if the remaining one is not answered in say 4 rings, start to ring one or two of the other SLT's as well as the office.

I hope everything is explained well enough and look forward to some feedback.

Many thanks in advance
Justin

Justin, First of all you can't get a light to come on for day/night mode, and you have to pick up phone or sp phone to use. You could set time service and let the system day/night/lunch timer control changes.under system/time service

In co/incoming/outgoing you can set the extensions to ring in day and night mode, just check box ( pre set for all to ring)for ringing phone then select immedite or 10s-20s 30s delay make sure line mode is set to normal because if set for dil and extension if will bypass the ring table.
One other thing in co under detail un check box for line connected to co that are not on the system to stop slt's from picking up unused ports.

Hi Ken,

You confirmed my suspicions re. Day / Night LED and needing to pickup, no worries, was only a nice to have...

Regarding the ring order, ahhh so simple huh... I was looking for a more complex rule base.

Thanks for your swift reply.
Cheers

Justin.

Hi Yarin, and welcome to Tech-Talk welcome

Your english is a bit rusty, but it's better than some I have seen here laugh

Sounds like you are talking about line pool access codes for your CO's. Is that what you are talking about?

Also it is better to start a new thread for new topics such as this. You are likely to get a better response in your own thread. This thread is from July.
