I have a KX-T123211D with a failed resistor in the main power supply. Resistor R280 failed long and hot enough to discolor the color bands. Can someone tell me the correct value for this component? Any advice while I'm in there trying to make the fix? -- Is this a common failure, does it mean something else is failing, and does it mean the power supply is toast? Thanks.

Panasonic National Parts Center can (800) 833-9626. Their web site also offers exploded views and master parts lists for just about anything that Panasonic ever made.

That system is very stable, in fact I've only seen one or two power supplies in them fail in 15 years. It's probably just due to a ventilation issue which can be easily corrected.

Thanks. I'll give them a call. I couldn't find an exploded diagram online, but I assume National Parts will be able to correlate a circuit component ID# with a part number. I was hoping to just find the value and wattage, but getting the OEM part may have to do.

We have replaced half a dozen 123211 power supplies and the repairs have help up, so far. You might find a replacement KSU for the same amount of $$. Unless you are well versed on bench repairs, you might get in over your head. Check with the sponsor of this forum first.
