On our D1232 I have a system phone with a cordless phone in the analogue jack. I have separate extensions for these, with a group number for both extensions which is the published number for phoning me. The individual extension numbers are not published. It's done like this because when the analogue jack was configured to be the same extension as the system phone, the analogue jack did not ring for incoming calls, so no-one could contact me when away from my desk. I appreciate that this was intended to prevent faxes and modems picking up incoming calls. Our system administrator is pretty hot on programming, but believes that the analogue jack cannot be configured to ring when it is the same extension. Is he correct? It would seem absurd that Panasonic would not accomodate cordless phones - which they also make!

the analogue jack can be set to ring at the same time. first disable the xdp for that jack in prog 600, then both extensions will be the same number again. Then on the digital phone lift the handset and dial 691. They will both then ring at the same time.

Sorry see your from across the pond, disregard.
Actually it's 391 for US versions not 691.
Intercom 391 will turn on Parallel Ringing.

The administrator has now put the analogue jack on the same number, for myself and for my new assistant who started yesterday (which is why I needed to stop using the group number to get around the problem). We've both dialled 691 and everything now rings. Thanks for your help. Originally posted by Dalavar: Sorry see your from across the pond Was it the way I pronounce "analogue" that gave it away?
