On my 1232 when you dial one of the extensions is does a double ring. I need it to do a standard PSTN single ring.

Is there a setting for that and if so how do I change it. I have the T7030 phones.

I don't think so. What do you need it for?
Fax?

Bill, welcome
Are you referring to an intercom call, (one station calling another station), or just one station that has a dbl ring when receiving an outside call?

The Dbl. ring tone for an intercom call can not be changed but you could set it for voice rather then that dbl. ring.

MrGemini

Been a long time, been busy with other projects.

I am talking about when I go off hook on one extension and dial another extension (or when you are calling in from the outside and dial an extension). Instead of a normal POTS ring (heard on the end initiating the call) you hear two short rings.

Can,t change that. Reason is to distinguish Intercom from CO ring.
You could use Voice Announce, as MR. G suggested.
The 2 rings bother someone?

The two rings is bothering windows when a modem is dialing in. Windows interprets the double ring as a busy signal and hangs up. I added ATX0 in the modem setup strings to ignore busy signals. Although not the best solution it is working for now.
