hi all this is the first sip ext carh i have installed and cant get is running i think it is in the http programming of the sip phone but not sure. below is the network ssetup and the questions being asked if anyone can help it would be great.

Network setup
1. KXTDE600 = 192.168.0.251
2. DSP Card = 192.168.0.252
3. 40 port POE switch 192.168.0.253
4. SIP Handset 192.168.0.40

i have 2 x 16 port sip licences installed
and have installed the vertuial cards and programed ext numbers from 241 to 273
i can ping and access all kit including sip handset so network not the problem

after accessing the sip handset via Http: and accessing the basic settings i am asked a number of questions and this is where i think the problem is.

1. Location (E)
2. Language ( English)
3. Telephone Number ( what goes here )? !401!
4. Sip ID ( what goes here )?
5. Sip Password ( what goes here )?
6. Proxy Address ( what goes here )?
7. Proxy Port (5060)
8. Registrar Address ( what goes here )?
9: Registrar Port (5060)
10. Sip Domain ( what goes here )?

Anyone done a sip ext before?? any help would be great

Peter

Peter, in the system you set up the sip ext to have a extension number and password( has to be ous to set up)

the answers to set up
1. what phone are you using, dont know options
2. you know that one
3. yes you can put ext no there
4 sip id is the extension no
5. is the password you setup on card
6. this is only if using proxy server, not used if on the same network
7. 5060
8. 192.168.0.251
9. 5060
10. 192.168.0.251
