I've purchased a Caller ID card for my TEA308 (E series) and hit a snag ... it doesnt seem to work frown

The unit is a KX-TEA308E, with firmware version 1.0.7, with two CO lines connected to CO1 and CO3, three KX-T7735 handsets and one SLT connected.

CID is enabled on the CO lines, and proven using an enabled phone on the master socket, but the TEA308 is not picking up any ID -- I have checked that the option is enabled on the CO line settings, but still no joy.

The card is a KX-TES82494.

Any suggestions?

Andy

if it is a new caller ID card, you will have to update your firmware on the system to v3

Thanks man - I figured it was probably going to need a firmware update.

Where is the best place to get an update for the unit? I've been unsuccessful contacting our original agent, but we bought the unit some time ago so I'm not exactly surprised!

Well, I managed to get the v3.04 firmware from Panasonic, and updated the PBX; but no dice.

Still no CLI presentation on the handsets.

I did double check that CLI is being presented by BT (telco), and it is, and it's detected correctly by an SLT connected in parallel to the PBX CO lines, but not by the PBX. Am thinking it might be a bad CLI card, but just want to rule out all other possibilities first!

kxtvet; Yup, will be sorting out a swap to try another frown

OBT: Yup, Caller ID presentation for SLT was enabled on the only extension with an SLT handset, but still no joy.

Will let you know how I get one with a replacement!
