Hello again helpful Sundance Communications folk
We have our KX-TES824 configured with 2 incoming lines, however, we only advertise one of our telephone numbers (which is on to CO1).
As a result, if we take a call on CO1 and someone tries to call the advertised number they get a line busy tone.
Is there any way to have the system intercept such a call and bring it onto CO2 if this is not being used at the time ??
Sorry if that's a ridiculous question but this was a feature the sales rep told us was entirely possible.

That would be a function of the telephone company, not the Panasonic telephone system. In the 'colonies' we call it "Hunting", as in "the first line was busy, so the call hunted for the next available line in the 'hunt group'". It is also, occasionally, referred to as a 'rotary', as in 'rotary hunt group'.
