Well you may think it is crazy but as it turns out you may be on the right track. I will have to do further testing to verify what made the difference.

I believe you wanted me to place extension 103 in its own extension group so that is what I did. It was in an extension group with one other extension (that was not connected).

I also varied the Call Fwd Start Time (202).

Here are the test results from a CO call:

1) Dialed 103 w/(202)=15s (default) - 4 Rings, call canceled.
2) Reached 103 via DISA AA w/(202)=15s (default) - 4 Rings, call canceled.
3) Dialed 103 w/(202)=10s (default) - 4 Rings, call canceled.
4) Reached 103 via DISA AA w/(202)=10s (default) - 4 Rings, call canceled.
5) Dialed 103 w/(202)=5s (default) - 1 Ring, call answered with Personal OGM.
6) Reached 103 via DISA AA w/(202)=5s (default) - 1 Ring, call answered with Personal OGM.

Notes:
1) While Test 5 & 6 worked the pickup time is way to short to be useful.
2) During Test 1 - 4, I noticed that after two rings on extension 103, extension 101 (Operator) started to ring too. I wonder if this is a clue to why the Personal OGM is not played.

Your idea has me thinking that my problem is a timing issue. If you can think of anything else, please let me know. Now back to the wiring closet and then further testing to try and isolate the root cause.

I was thinking either a timer or grp issue yes what is 201 set at ?!
Do have ticks in either call waiting boxes on 103?
you may want to do an ext all clear on 103 and then forward ext 103 b/na back to bv.

1.6 (201) is set at 30s (the default)

No checks in either the 'Call Waiting' boxes for 103 or any other extensions. I will try the clear on 103 and let you know.

You would thing that if an extension user has a Personal OGM that the system would work the same for external calls as it does for internal calls once the extension rings. ;-) Oh well!

Thanks again for your continued help.

I cleared extension 103 using the Extension Feature Clear. Then reconfigured the extension to FWD upon Busy/NA. This did not resolve the problem.

Well I think I found the cause of the problem. It has to do with the Intercept Timers and the Call Forwarding Start Time and how they work together.

I will do some further testing to confirm and then post the results.

Here is what I have discovered:

In order for an extension’s Personal OGM to activate correctly with DISA AA directed calls, the DISA Ring Time before intercept Timer (508) needs to be greater than the Call Forwarding Start Time (202). To activate the Common OGM if an extension does not have a Personal Message, set the DISA IRNA to BV (438-440) for the desired COs to BV (01-24) as required for each time service mode.

Increasing the Call Forwarding Start Time (202) allows for more time for the extension to be answered. Setting it to 20s provides about 4 rings before the transfer takes place.

If anyone has any further insight, please let me know.
