I got a 304 desk phone and it won't ring. There are 2 loose red wires that look like at least 1 comes from ringer. Any Idea how to wire it?

I found a link that might be of help: https://www.porticus.org/bell/telephones-technical-ringers.html Some of the people who post here know older Western Electric sets quite well and may be able to tell you exactly where the wires go.

Also, check www.TelephoneTribute.com. There is access to wiring diagrams there as well.

Here 's a schematic that's pretty easy to read from the TCI website
