I have an old analog Telrad Symphony II switch with Telrad Digital Speech v5.19 voicemail. The voicemail has 6 ports and about 250 users. My hard drive often get filled and I need more storage space for messages. My vendor has told me that Telrad no longer supports this version. Any advise on if I can move the data over to a larger hard drive? I no longer have the original software. Please help! I don't want to purchase a new system as this one works great, just not enough storage.

You cant upgrade the processor beyond a 386 for some reason the speed causes the voice prompts to sound like micket mouse. The DOS can be upgraded to 6.22 and you can go up to a 1 to 1.5 hard drive. MOst of the issues are because of the limits of DOS. Get the DOS manuals out and look at the limits of HD size.
With this PC still running you need to pat yourself on the back for keeping it alive this long. That has to be 10 to 12 years old.

Ok, I think I've decided to go ahead and buy a new system. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that will work with the analog Telrad Symphony II switch AND will work with a new digital switch in the future? I need a minimum of 6 ports with 150 users. (Tony---I didn't have a problem with your original post!)

With the new IPeX servers you get the system and voicemail on 1 card. The IPeX2 is the 384 (400) system with upto 28 ports and unlimited mailboxes. How many lines and phones on the system now. Are you interested in IP phones Telrad has those as well upto 96 per system on 1 TVsE server.

You can upgrade your ols switch to a digital switch and reuse your phones with the Telrad 400 with ela cards. I would suggest to get some new phones, the new digital telrad phone is nice. Get them for key people. Contact SS phnoes and he can sell you everythnig you need and help you with any programing needs.

You can add the IP products later if you want.

Here's some great new for you vk.
The new Telrad EmaGem voicemail system will replace the Digital Speech voicemail and when you get ready to upgrade the phone system you will have the voicemail in place. Now you just have to find someone to install it. With that number of users I would go with the D platform as it comes with 8 ports and will grow to 28 ports.
