Our school district is currently running Telrad IVM voicemail software version 4.00H. I read a post where the lastest version for IVM was 4.01G. Is the software available for upgrading? If so, is there a cost for upgrading? Thank you for your time.

what you need is ImaGEN ver 7. It loads ontop of win98, and opens upon startup of course. other than that there are few differences. I can get you a copy, it will be a couple of days though.

Be Careful....If you don't have Level 7 in the phone system, you will have problems.

The memory module on the MPD400 card is version 5.05C. I appreciate the offer for the ImaGen version - will it update and work with no problems from the IVM software?

Make sure you don't have an AVC Card. If you do i highest you can go is 4.00j I thought. Because DVC cards started at 5.00 I think. Check the voicemail card before doing anything. Make sure it's DVC!!!

If it's AVC STAY WERE YOU ARE and DO NOTHING.

I am not aware of any problems between ImaGEN 7 and s400 v5.05, but you will need the DVC card to make it work, and those are fairly hard to come by.

Our IVM computer is connected to an OCD card. I do not see any AVC or DVC cards in the system. Looks like I will just stay with the IVM system - does anyone know of what the differences are between the 4.00H version and the 4.01G version? Are there any additional feature sets? We are experiencing some voice mail messages being repeated after deleting, and 1 - 3 hours delays in having messages appear. Six months ago I cleaned out all old messages, did a defrag and restart which helped; but now we are starting to experience some of the same things again. Thanks again for all your comments and help.

The last ver of software for the IVM was 4.01G. And there are fixes for some issues over 4.00J. All of the IVM's are DOS based and Have AVC cards installed in the PC for voice channels. The DVC card is used in the ImaGen voicemail systems. Telrad suggest keeping the voicemail software level the same as the system software level. The 4.00J/4.01G software will work with limited features upto release 6 on the phone system. ***Release 7 Imagen is Windows 95 based and will only operate on win95.***
The problem you are having with delay messages can DTMF receiver issues on the AVC card but more than likely its just a matter of disk clean up. If you have messages that have been deleated and the disk space has not been written over with a new message it is possible that when the system runs scandisk and defrag on sunday you come in on monday and the old messages are there. This doesn't happen often but I have found this. Also in you mailbox id you have message reminder turned on it will re light you MSG light.

DO a Defrag and your problems will go away most likely like SSphones said. Most of the earlier Vociemails don't have it on the hard drives, but you can try it by going to the c:\ivm promot (by hitting f-10) and type DEFRAG. If that don't work you will have to do it from the disk drive. I hope you don't have the 5 1/4 Drive because that would SUCK!!!!!!
Good Luck

Well actualy all the VMS that work on DOS have the defrag program as it is built into the DOS.
