hi everyone i would greatly appreciate any/all help in my dilemna:

i have a radio/cd player hooked up to my music on hold and it's distorted.

it's a typical stereo mini plug(headphone)coming out of the player into a "mini to rca converter" then into the mono rca jack on the telrad - this absolutely should work!

it's perfectly clear coming out of the speakers yet fuzzy and distorted "on hold"

i've experimented with the player's volume, stereo/mono switch as well as different cables.

what's the problem?

thanks again
t

Radio are hard to hook up to the telrad system unless your right near the radio station. I system makes it static.

You can try and put yourself on hold and try and tune it in, But I would just put a CD player on it.

hi tony thanks for your reply unfortunately you misunderstood...

the station IS tuned in and perfectly clear coming thru the speakers of the boombox. it's only when plugged into the telrad "music on hold jack" that it comes thru distorted.

it's also distorted with a cd so it's not the player, radio tuning or cable.

what is the "standard" connectivity when using this jack?

thanks again
terry

I know that when you plug a radio into the telrad system it gets distroted because the telrad system.

A cd will work fine.

If you have a MPD card try testing the rca jack with a BUTT set before pluging it in. The cable might be bad. IF it's fine you might have a bad Voice Channel (doesn't happen offen but has Happen).Try useing the cut down on the 25 pair cable, I think it's the RED/ORANGE Pair, or try a New MPD. If all else fails you can put in a ocd with a MIM Module and uses one of those Voice Channels
