What should I do? The phone keeps ringing and ringing. Other extensions with the exact COS table work fine. I've deleted the user and name andadded it back in a couple of time already. The phone rings and rings when on night ring or afterr simple transfer.
Do I need to "RESTART" the vp100 (how?)?
Can I test the vp100 (how?)?
Thanks for your time.

It sounds like you need to activate call forwarding on that phone. What phone system type are you using?

Thanks for the quick replies!
I do have a Strata DK280. I also found the manual! But it still fails to work. This is my procedure:
1) I hit intercom & dial "#604".
2) The LED on the phone prompts me for the ext#
3) I dial "232" (the ext#)
4) I dial "*16#" (16 second ringing)
5) The LED reads "2321" (the "1" is from the *16#" property - doesn't look right?)
6) The manual says I'll hear a "confirmation tone", which I never hear.(?)
7) I clear the forwarding with "#601" and try again - same result.

What is a pilot#? What is "dist hunt" ?
Should the "forward to" ext# be the voicemail box?
Is there an ext# for the voicemail?

dave
are you sure it is taking the *?
do you have an sds key? that may give you *
dist hunt program is in more recent releases some people don't use it. pilot is the first number in a hunt group.
for to ext should be the voice mail box id
the ext # for voice mail is the one a user would use for admin their vmbx
good luck

Eureka!
The Speed Dial was the "*" on the LED!
I also heard the confirmation tone as well as a "Programming Completed" reply on the LED. I'm grateful for the Call Forwarding Lessons!
