Does the telco have to enable hunting on the CO line or can the DK 40 do this itself?

Thanks that explains a lot. I was under the impression that all the system needed was dial tone from the telco and the system would do the rest. I want a CO LINE to ring a DN. I want the DN's phone to have three appearances when one dn is busy I want it to go to the next one on that phone.

I purchased this system from a company that went out of business. They sold me the system, ten 2000 seris phones and the programming manuals. The system has the TCOU card in it. Everything seems to work fine with all the phones having two CO Line buttons on them. My business has now grown and I would like to utilize more of the phone systems features. The initial setup was easy, but the more advance stuff is puzzling me. The program manuals are to vague.

would it be close to say
you have 3 incoming phone numbers that
publish a main number 555-1000 when thats busy you want it to hunt to line 2 and when
thats busy you want it to hunt to line 3
thats done by telco
you put the 3 lines on all your phones
and make the 3 lines ring on extensions
that you want to ring like receptionist
or delayed ring at alternate answering point
is that close ??
whats the full model of the 2000 phones
is2010 or 2020

As a suggestion, Toshiba programming is not that simple. It would be well worth your time to contact someone that can help you get that system set up the way you want.
You can contact one of the Toshiba moderators here (or Ken) or call in a local Toshiba vendor. It will cost you a little bit of money but it will be well worth it in the end.
Support over the telephone is probably cheaper than calling a tech in.

the question you need to ask yourself is: what is your time worth?
