I have older stratagy (not sure of rev)that appears to have died.
I boos up. (whatched it via procom) and port 1 answers. however it plays 990 and that s it. During 990 you can log in but all passwords are invalid. Did chkdsk an lost 8 files doing it.
The other ports on it get a Ring no answer (led does flash and I moved the jumpers to low just to see) Think this is savable? or should I persue a new VM?

Can you boot it up to the main Stratagy screen? Describe the box.....look at the dongle key....what is printed on it? It should say what VM you have.

no it is the old stratagy Flash. made by syntellect tech corp. Unfortunately I don't have the program, I think it should be host key and the version I have for the MVX is locking my Laptop up.

If its a Stratagy Flash, you'll need Toshibas Stratagy Admin program installed on your laptop and a null modem cable to connect. If it is a 2-port unit, ports 3 and 4 will flash but not answer. If its a 4-port, then it sounds like you may have a bad unit. What phone system is it on? Do you have an available slot? If yes, then I would recommend investigating the IVP8 in-skin.
