Hi.

We have a DK424 system with Stratagy and about 20 phones. I have two extensions that do not ring.

An incoming call goes to the right phone, the right LED lights up and, after the right amount of time it forwards to the right voicemail box. The message light works and the user can get the message.

I have tried working phones in the jacks and the phones work in other jacks.

I have worked with Program *71 to make certain the right LED is on. I have tired toggleing it, getting the "DATA PROGRAMMED' message both times.

Program 39 has ##EXT and ##PHND set up the way other phones are.

Program *33 has the correct port owning the PhDNs

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Theres not enough information, the 2 phones that don't ring Do they ring on other calls? How many PHDN are on the two non ringing phones? Can you access ICM dialtone on those PHDN? Check PGM *72 & *73. IS htere physical/logical port issues? Do the speakers work on the two phones?

>Do they ring on other calls?
No.

>How many PHDN are on the two non ringing phones?
One each.

>Can you access ICM dialtone on those PHDN?
I get a tone and I can make an internal call or an external call on both (I don't know about ICM).

>Check PGM *72 & *73.
We did. Nothing on for those programs (for those PhDNs).

>IS htere physical/logical port issues?
Programs 04, *33 and 39 look right to me, in my limited experience.

>Do the speakers work on the two phones?
Yes.

Are you saying that when you call these two phones from another station they do not audibly ring? If so, recheck program *71. Remember that LED 1 corresponds to port 000, LED 2 corresponds to port 001 and so on.

Well unless i`ve read the forum wrong it sounds like you maybe programming the wrong port, check program 04 to make sure. Or it sounds like you should`nt be using *71 but use 81 or 87 to program the ringing. Cause if you are trying to make a physical phone ring that means it has a regular DN which does not use *71 for ringing. *71 is for PHDN`s. Hope that helps. If not call me a dummy.

Program *71 is for PDNs and PhDNs. So for example if the station is port 004 then LED 5 in program *71 should be on or else the station will not audibly ring.

I tried *71 again and this time it worked. My co-worker and I think we did it about three times each before it started working.

Thanks for your time.
