I just can't seem to find out what the heck that is. Is it something we can program, or just something for future use? In the programming manual, all it says (what I can find, anyway - it is not listed in the index!) is that the higher the FRL number, the more access you have for trunks. Now, what the heck does that mean? If anybody knows, please answer! I am getting frustrated here! :bang:

FRL is used for Line Access. Enables you to deny access to call out but be able to take a call off of hold. It is a pain to program. If you have access to Toshiba's FYI site look in the Web Knowledge Base there is a document about this there. Agreed :bang:

Easy. If your Station FRL is 1 and your OLG FRL is 2, then you have access to OLG but not by pushing the line keys. This forces you to dial 9 for an outside line.
I use it when we have Pooled line keys. To force the user to dial 9, the Station FRL has to be lower than the OLG FRL. They can press the pool ke all day long and never get dial tone.

Hmm, thats not my understanding of FRL, but might be true. FRL is something like prg 40, 41 on the DK but with a twist. Its meant to be used as a "priority" feature mainly for bosses and directors to have a priority over line access.
eg.
(a) Extensions with FRL 1 assignment, will be able to use lines in an OLG that has a FRL setting of 1. (b) Extensions with FRL 2 assignment, will be able to use lines in an OLG that has a FRL setting of 1 and 2. ...etc.
The higher FRL assignments can access the lower FRL line groups.
Think about this: does FRL overide LCR or not?

While I don't understand why we even have this, I do thank you all for your answers!
