Anyone know how to program the speed dial button on the DKT2010-S?

They just put the phone on my desk and left no manuals. It only took over 2 months to get a phone, so I'm not surprised.

Your help would be most appreciated! It has 10 buttons running down the right side of the phone and the top button says "speed dial".

Thank you so much!

Leaving the handset in the cradle (the phone hung up) Press Redial / Press your speed dial button/ enter your speed dial phone number/ press Redial again to save it.
If that doesn't work you just have a mislabled overlay. Buttons for speed dial require a pre-programming procedure that tells that button to be used as a speed dial button. Let us know if it worked. If not we'll go into that "pre-programming proced."

I would borrow a display set so you can see what you are typing.

If you are thinking about SYSTEM speed dial, that can only be put in from the first extension, 10 on a DK16/16e/40/40i unless they went with 3 digit extensions and then it would be extension 200.

The DK2809/424/424i would require station 200 to program speed dial (unless someone decided to change extension numbers and had stations start with 100 or whatever.)

If you have a DK16/16e/40/40i your speed dial bins would be 60, 61, 62, 63, etc. to 99.

The important elements are two buttons and which speed dial bin.

You are probably thinking about STATION speed dial the speed dial bins on YOUR phone.

If you have a DK16/16e/40/40i your speed dial bins would be 10, 11, 12, 13, etc. to 49.

As barster says, [redial] [speed dial] [bin number-10 to 49] [1-Area code-prefix-last 4] then [redial]

See where the speed dial was on your phone and press the same button when doing the speed dial programming with the display phone. Borrowing a 10 button display is the easiest way as you have a 10 button phone.

When dialing in the number to be stored the display lets you see that you have entered the number correctly, that is the only function you use on the borrowed display phone and it is absolutely possible to do this without a borrowed display. Just don't have fat slippery fingers or you will be calling some ugly mean person who won't want to be woken up and has your caller ID.

Doesn't look like it worked. The very first button says speed dial, but I guess the overlay is wrong.

Is the pre-programming procedure difficult?

Thanks for all your help so far!

Try using the * key instead of the speed dial button in the above instructions. If that doesn't work, you'll have to find out where the speed dial button is on your phone. We're all assuming, though, that you have a Toshiba DK.

you have to press redial, speed dial, the bin number you want to store it as, then the tel# ,Redial, depending on how your system is set up you may want to include your intercom buttn plus 9 then the tel # ,redial.. to use you should be able to press your button that is labeled as speed dial, and the bin number your stores it as. Depending on which system you have the personal speed dial bin numbers are 10-49 or 100-139
