Hi. I am network administrator at a company using a Toshiba phone system but I have never dealt with a phone system before. I have a DKT2020-SD, DADM2020, Strata DK 424 .

There are 2 things that I need to change:

1) I need to change the main night greeting ie. rerecord over the old one and don't know how to get to this menu option.

2) Change the add-on modules button assignments to different phone extensions. They are currently programmed with the first 20 extensions. I have looked at the system manual, program *29, but am confused as to what buttons to press. ie. do I press the greyed out figures, what does the code refer to, and what processor info should I be looking at in the table?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

1) What type of voicemail system? This would be where the greeting would be.
2) You need to access the system programming from port 005 and the *29 programming is by port number not ext. number. (The key programming is done on the phone set itself not the dadm modules.)

SSPhone's advice is 100% correct. Do we assume you know how to get into programing?

Usually port 000 is 200, 001 is 201, etc. to see if this is the case, press [Intercom] # 4 0 2 and in the display will see the port number. This works at any phone with a display or any location where you temporarily plug in a display phone.

Once in programming at port 005 (often is 205, a tech could have changed that) you press [Speaker] * 2 9 [Hold]. You are now in the program that lets you change DADM2020 buttons.

Press [Speaker] x x x # 1 (xxx is the port number starting with 0.0

Push one of the 20 buttons on the phone and it will show #002 for the extension 202 (if no one has changed port/extension numbers in program 04).

By pushing the buttons you see a # followed by a three digit number starting with 0 for each extension that is already programmed. If 207 was port 007 and you want to put that on a specific button, you push that button on the phone and dial # 0 0 7 then go to another button and program that one, you can always check the buttons without changing them. When you are all done, press [Hold]. Then go out of programming with [Speaker] # # [Hold] and then again [Speaker] # # [Hold].

You NEVER use the DADM for programming, you use the buttons on the phone to program and then they appear on the DADM.

Give it a shot, if it doesn't work, read the directions again and you have to know the password to get in because I can't post it here.

Amanda is you ball game take it from here.
ahtru1 you may want a little more support than can be typed out here. Send Bunny a PM get her phone number and call for direct support, it may cost a few $$ but well worth it. Not sure where SoCal is but who knows it maybe near Santa Monica.

It sounds like you have a work.place or a work.group.

Normally....You have a mailbox 990 that has a main greeting, "You have reached xyz Company" and then an immediate chain to mailbox 991 "If you know your parties...blah, blah, blah"

Assuming you have a computer you use the admin password that I can't post here to get into programming and go to mailboxes. Look at your mailboxes one by one from 999 on down to see where the night greeting is, it could be in the 990 to 999 series or anywhere else, but look there first.

You go into those mailboxes just like a subscriber mailbox, dial the voicemail, dial * xxx #, ZZZZ # where xxx is the mailbox number and ZZZZ is the password (could be 3 digits, 4 digits, 5 digits, default, etc.)

Thanks, for the kind words, SSPhone, in truth I have been doing Amanda for a long time and it is VERY similar to the Toshiba and Macrotel, all from the same platform with differn additions built in.
