I have a CTX 100 and I am supposed to add a BDKU card to add only 2 more phones (DK2010SD). Here is what we have

Slot 1: BDKU/BDKS
Slot 2: RCOU (4 lines)
Slot 3: IVP8,2 port vmail
Slot 4: This is where I'm adding the BDKU

First card I got turned out to be bad. No phone worked. Then I got a replacement. The phones come up, but on a outside call, there is no sound. On an inside call, you can talk fine. When you call into the voicemail, you can hear the system loud and clear but once you log-in to your mailbox you get eventually get disconnected after 30 seconds or so.

I've programmed the card at ADKU BDKU and then BDKU and PDKU, all work the same. THe strap on the card has been both PDKU and BDKU, same results.

I'm getting another card but I can't be sure if it's the cards or me.

The strap on the card has to be PDKU, why not just use a cheap PDKU card in the first place?

Have you programmed the slot for a PDKU card? You can't just slide it in and have it magically know it is a PDKU card, now can you? Noooooooo.

Did you recycle the power after assigning the BDKU in the slot?

Licensing also might be the issue.

I've programmed the card in the slot correctly and I am positive I don't need any licenses. no I haven't power cycled the unit. I'll try that.

In addition to programming the slot, you also have to assign stations to that card. The jumper should be on BDKU.
