I'm the new manager at an office and there is no password list for mailboxes for the phones. The last manager's phone is full of messages but her password wasn't listed anywhere. I went into the system admin menu & went into system admin, then manager mailbox, then reset security code, but that is not working. Any suggestions?

Go to the same admin section and delete the mailbox this will clear all of the messages. Use icm #409 to clear the message light from the phone. Log back into the admin and add the mailbox and the dial by name.

It allows me to delete the mailbox but when I add it back on it won't let me access it using default password 0000 (the one I was told to use previously). Is there a different default password?
What is "icm #409"?

Okay I got the light to quit flashing and the messages deleted. I just need help on figuring out the default password. I tried the xxxx, xxxxx, and xxxxx that were advised as default passwords other places online. Any suggestions?

Please don't post password information in the public forum.

Intercom #409 just clears out the blinking MSG light. It does not remove any messages, but it looks like you did that in system admin.

Those passwords are not correct default for Toshiba, Amanda, or (if I remember) Contact DK voicemail systems. The moderators don't like passwords posted in open forum, probably even if they are wrong.

I got mine fixed but it won't work for the Dr's vm. I went through the same steps I did previously for my account but it's not letting me use those steps for the Dr. I deleted the mailbox, hit intercom #409, and then tried the default password I was advised to use and it does not work on his. It's a stratagy voicemail. I added the mailbox, tried the default that worked previously, and it says invalid password. I went into the system admin and reset the password, and that didn't work either.
