The power supply can be replaced without replacing the whole KSU...

Im curious as to why you are interested in a 1a2.....

If you really want to show what a guy you are get a 584c panel and start there......

It's NOT an ITT 601, it's a Western Electric (but I don't know the model number). You will need a power supply, and you may find one by asking here: https://groups.yahoo.com/group/singingwires/

Good luck!!

I thought so...the eBay listing said Western Electric, and it looked like the other Western Electrics I've seen before. Wish I hadn't bought the ITT manual. Oh well, it was only 15 bucks, maybey I can still use some of the info in it.

THAT IS A WECO 620 PANEL. IT REQUIRES AN EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY. I THINK THE TWO COMPATIBLE POWER UNITS WERE 79B OR 95B. IF YOU LOOK AROUND IN SOME OLDER CLOSETS, GOVERNMENT OFFICE CLOSETS WOULD PROBABLY BE A GOOD STARTING PLACE,YOU MAY FIND ALL OF THIS EQUIPMENT AS ABANDONDED BELL STUFF.

I'll have to wait and see if I need the fuses, the thing hasn't even shipped yet!! And thanks, TTTommy, that yahoo group is great. I found someone that is going to give me the power supply for the cost of shipping. What's better about the 584 and 597?? I just took what I could find at a reasonable (very reasonable, $10.99) cost.
