What is the easiest way to remote administer the voicemail on a CTX100? I'm a network administrator and I am trying to learn more about the telecom side.
Thanks for your help Lou

It all depends on what type of voicemail you are trying to administer. There are several different types that integrate with the CTX/CIX100 and each different type has a different administration software. Please elaborate and Im sure someone here can help you.

Good question - is there a way to tell which VM I have by looking in WinAdmin or do I need to go into the office and look at the CTX. If I am looking at the hardware - what am I looking for?

I would pop the front cover off and take a look. The name of the voicemail should be stamped on the front of the card if its an InSkin voicemail system.

It is a Strategy IPV8. I never realized the VM was just a card...pretty cool.

Bob - Thanks for the reply.
So would I use Uadmin 2.1 to do remote administration and if so would you have a copy that you can send me? My ultimate goal is to be able to administer the phone systems and VM in our NJ, NY and Chicago offices without having to leave my house.

What Bob was saying is that the IVP8 has an admin mailbox that you can log in to and add, delete, reset mailboxes. You can administer that way and dont need Uadmin.
