My understanding has always been that *67 doesn't work on a PRI.

Had this problem before. Had to use a copper trunk if someone wanted their number blocked.

No dice. You can't dial a POTS code on a PRI. *67 is the correct code to block outward CID, but only on a POTS line and possibly some Centrex lines.

The DK424 has to provide this function by sending no data on outgoing calls (if it has that capability). Otherwise, the telco can place the BTN as the outgoing number which is usually a fictitious number that cannot actually be dialed.

You can do either of Ed's suggestions on the 424.

1. The DK424 can send no data on outbound CNIS or false data (i.e. - all 1's, 2's or a string (XXX) 555-1212, etc.).

2. You can have the provider change outgoing to the BTN.

As phonemeister said, had a customer that had a few anaolg lines for blocking caller ID.

I had 1 provder tell me that they call block all outgoing caller ID, or add BTN to outbound. All or nothing.

Another carrier, I forgot which, had all caller ID blocked for all calls only when the switch did not send digits. In both cases they where a CIX. I have not done enough Strata DK to know how to manipulate outbout caller ID off the top of my head.

For the first part... I have had XO do that here in Ohio.

For the second part Outbound CNIS parameters : 69-2

I ran into this on a another brand of switch. We had a analog extension and CO port available, so we plugged the analog into the CO port, put a key appearance on the phones of that CO line. Now when they want to block outbound CID they pick up that key, dial 9 and the number, which is just like making a call directly from the analog extension.

oh yeah, We also set the outbound DNIS to be 000-000-0000 of the analog extension. Which in turn shows "unavailable" to the person being called.
