My previous post was moved for some reason to a forum that I dont have access to.

Does a BPTU show when a call hits the PRI? Like a busy light? The PRI still doesnt receive calls. The provider said the phone system is rejecting it. I unpluged the BPTU and they had the same error. I had a toshiba tech come out on friday and he said the PRI wasnt hitting the phone system. The provider says all there settings are correct.

the only way to see if the call is hitting the circuit is to monitor the D channel. you can do this by plugging a pptc-9 ping to RJ connector to the BPTU. You will see on the front the BPTU there is a small phone connector.

open hyperterminal or procomm and make sure the settings are correct.

Q931 messages can show you if the call is actually hitting your BPTU.

Ask for installer permission, tmier. Your original post was moved because it was an installer question.

If you're not seeing the Q931 messages, put a loopback connector on the cable and ask the provider if they see the loopback.

Update

It was hitting the system. Talked to Toshiba tech support again and fixed the problem. Now we can make and receive calls. For future reference it was program *66-5.
