I know in the DK platform we could turn this off so things like sent 245-500v didn't appear on the LCD (I think it was in program 35). Can we turn this off in a CIX?

On the CIX it's in program 200 per station, Activate Message waiting, to prevent people from turning on other people's MSG light. I disable it of for all stations (except voicemail ports) for every install.

Programm 200 FB 41 is disabled for all phones and VM ports.

Not sure if this makes a difference...this is appearing on ext. 200 - 245 is a secondary DN that rings on 200 and will forward to mailbox 245.

Any other ideas?

From DN 245, dial #64500 and that should cancel the mw send.

MJ wald - 500 is the VM pilot number

phonemeister - what you suggested didn't work - as soon as she presses 245 (a phantom on ext. 200) it rings to the other phones that have 245 appearing on it. 200 is the owner. Any other ideas?

If it's a phantom, why would it ring other extension when you press it? That key is sounds like a DSS key. If is was a phantom you should get a dialtone.

it be a phdn message waiting light. can you look in programming and see what that button is?

you dont have to use emanager to do this you can see what a button is in the user program mode as well.

also intercom #409 still works on the CIX systems too so if you dial that from the phone it should cancel the MSG light from blinking

not sure if this helps you are not as i dont fully understand what you mean by "when she presses 245 it rings to the other phones that have 245 on them" are you using 245 as a dial 0 ??
