Hi guys.
I'm in awe at the info that's found here on this site. I haven't found an answer to my question, so I'm posting my problem. I'm not familiar with Toshiba programming, and have walked into a new client who doesn't have any vendor info or passwords. "How do I cancel the system call forwarding, that is now set up to forward to line 3, if not answered in 4 rings?"
I've gone to all 7 phones and performed the procedure, as described in the user manual, and I got an answer back from the system, each time, but that didn't work. Thanks for your help! Billy

It is probably not a call forward, the system is probably programed after 4 rings to ring the voicemail, so you will need to make programing changes for the lines. It really depends on how the system is programed , the calls are probably programed to ring a multiple call group.

Ya I agree with Steve, this is something that we are gonna need to know how it is being forwarded since there are many ways to accomplish this. You will probably need the administration software to figure this out.

Here's what I did, again, not knowing the Toshiba animal. I powered down the system, and pulled the voicemail card,(even though it was not being used). When anyone calls in, after 4 rings, you can see line 3 pick up, and call an off site service. Thanks.

Sounds like the incoming ringing is set to delay to a Phantom possibly that is externally call forwarded. You might look for phantom appearances on the main phone(s) and try to access the phantom directly and cancel any forwarding it may have but if that doesn't do the trick I would get a knowledgeable tech to fix the problem. You also maybe making many problems occur by canceling forwarding.
Also might ask them to check for notes or instructions, this kind of thing often was user programmed by a number of steps.

Also be careful powering down the system with an active VM Card. You can damage the card!
There is a shutdown procedure............

Don't know if it's forwarded to a Phantom #, and don't know why line 3 picks up after the 4th ring. I can't know any of these answers, because I don't have software, or training. Was hoping to be able to reset the system back to default, (sounds simple!). They have 3 lines, and don't want ANY special programming. The only reason I'm there is because they recently subscribed to an off site answering service, that wants the call after 4 rings, no answer. HELP
