We have EKT6520-SD phones with a Strata DK voice mail system. We just ordered some refurbished phones as we have been having some problems but aren't looking to upgrade yet.
On our old phones when someone was on the phone you could still interrupt them and announce who was calling. I assumed we could just plug in the new phones and they would work the same way but that is not the case. Is this a simple programming fix like changing the time or the date?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe the feature you are referring to is "Off-Hook Call Announce".
I haven't worked with the older EKT's, but I believe on the DKT's you had to install a small option card in the phone to enable that feature.

There is a unit in the old phones called an HVSU. You will need to remove the bottom cover of the phones and you will see it. It is screwed to the bottom piece and connected to the main board with ribbon type cables. This must be moved to the new phones.
