I've got a DK14 that I have restricted two phones on using prog 41. They receive incoming CO calls, but can't make CO calls. The store manager would like for these two phones to still be able to dial 911 in a emergency. It seems to me from looking at the documentation I need to use LCR to make these two extensions dial 911. Is this the best way, or is there a easier way? Being a nortel tech, I guess I'm having problems understanding the toshiba docs... eh?

Take a look at the toll restriction section of the docs.

Prog. 46-2 You can add 911 as an allowed number. Download the manual. It is illegal to deny the ability to dial 911 from any extension..

So 911 needs to be entered as if it was a area code to all 4 toll restriction classes? Or how do I know which class to add it to? Do I have to tell it per port or system wide somewhere? Program 46-2~4 says the default includes all area codes in all classes. Should I use 46-4 to see if 911 is already in the class(es)?

Yes. Can you dial 911 on some extensions?? Check program 46,48. Maybe Bobrobert can chime in on this one. Toll restriction isn't my strong point. Make sure that all phones can dial 911 when you are done.

Put the desired phones in a specific class in P48. Next, restrict this class from all office codes in P46-7 and then add 911 in P46-6.
