Hi,

I have been tasked with installing a 2nd user customer bought Stratagy DK into their DK280 system. All efforts to convince them otherwise have failed and my experience of the Stratagy is limited to adding a few mailboxes here and there. I'm Tosh trained on the IES but for most sites we install TIS16.
I have the relevant manuals but would like to know the easiest way to default the unit. I currently have it in a 280 cab in the workshop for evaluation prior to installation.
Any tips would be useful.

You will need to run a plug and play to default the voicemail.
Are you going to integrate it via SMDI or DTMF?
Is it running 2N or 3R software?
If it is on 3R software then use the Voicemail Manager software to configure it otherwise you will need the Admin 2N version that runs in a DOS window.
If you are familiar with the iES32 then the structure and mailbox options will be the same.

I wouldnt install it myself as it could fail at any moment as it is running a hard drive and must be 8-10 years old already. I havn't installed a Stratagy DK in a long time mostly LVMU, GVPH, iES32, TIS16 and Strata Messaging recently.

Good luck.

Regards
Carl

Agreed, I have used the same arguement Carlos but they say they're willing to risk it. They might change their minds if it actually fails tho'!
Thanks for the advice intergration will be DTMF and will check software later.

Happy days....

Make it worth your time and heartache financially. I already see the doo doo hitting the fan so-to-speak.

went through this before and running PLUG N PLAY corrupted the data base due to the wrong version of admin. you need to connect to it with whatever software you have and look at what version it is. 2.x 3.x 4.x? dont make any changes. i have all versions of admin, let me know what version of each that you have and then PM me, i will send you the appropriate version to run PLUG N PLAY.

Happy days!
We have convinced the customer to take a second user TIS 16 instead-problem solved. Particular thanks to Bert and everybody else who posted.
