It's not too bad if you have any dramas sent send me a PM as I have done quite a few now.
The I&M is enough to get up and running but there is a lot of hidden bit and pieces that make for a nicer VM experience.
UM can be fun to diagnose just use the real time monitor window to see what is happening when trying to communicate with the email server as this can waste lots on site time.

I have done a few. First one took a while, but the last few went real easy. Just like they said, follow the manual.
One thing, I set the transfer to parially blind and not full blind transfer. This would depend on the CIX stystem call forward settings, but if the extension is busy with SM set for full blind, the call drops (at least when I am testing).
It took me a while to figure out the auto fill for the extension. This does save time, as you have to type in each VM extension 3 times.
After you apply the licensing, I would reboot. Don't forget about the system license or you will be going back in about a month when it stops working.
I would be curious about the type of things Carlos has found as well. I like the features over the Stratagy, althou I have yet to find an install that wanted to use the park and page feature.
Be aware that the wall mount bracket is sold seperately.

The LUCA can optionally have a hard drive, but the Strata Messaging operates off the USB Flash drive... so no, you don't need a hard drive.
Be SURE to change default passwords - I had my first unit hacked into... took a few hours to clean it out and change passwords! (Mine was on a public IP)

If you set the IP address to match your network or the CIX CPU and use the Site Parameters/Import data it will configure all the VoIP and Registry settings and create all the mailboxes it finds extns with a VMID programmed against it. The only thing you will need to do then is set the VM extn numbers in the System/channel definition.
This saves lots of setup time on the Strata Messaging (LUCA)

There is a FAQ webinar on the toshiba tech training site that covers how to program the most commonly asked for features that's really help full.
Oh and you can get rid of the annoying "good morning, afternoon and night" messages, you just have to record a second of silence over them in the admin Box.

I usually just erase them instead of recording silence. I do let the customer hear it irst and let them tell me tey don't like it, on the chance that maybe they do want something like that.
