STS, 16x4x2 w/ inskin vm. Child daycare setting. Original install had classroom phones cos2, phones restricted to only three outgoing numbers. 911, a local7 digit number and a 1800xxxxxxx number. these were in allow table A, deny table A had 0,1,.......9. worked fine until someone with too much free time discovered they could dial *82, and get new dialtone free of restriction. Changed station cos to 4, added entries for deny table B of *ddd, #ddd and *82d. When you dial *82 get a reorder tone (like with centrex when you hit the flash button)and the station becomes unrestricted. Don't understand how a telco * code can over ride system programming. Any ideas? thanks dosjock

I would suggest that you change the deny table entry to be "everything" using the "don't care" digit instead of listing 1-0 separately. The "canned" restriction in the system rarely works for us, but I am pretty sure that by denying everything and just allowing those three numbers in table A will do it for you. We have a customer like that with too much time on his hands also. Of course, as a last resort, LCR is an option.

You can also go to Flash 52 and change the 82 co group to something else. Or actually remove 82 access totally. If you program an 82 pool key before you remove the 2 digit code it should work.
Tip and ring, the work of the devil!
