hello everyone. I am having an sporatic issue that I can't seem to track down. The issue that I am having is if I call the main number and get the main greeting, it would sometime play the message for a few second and then would transfer that caller to an extension (Ext 123). There are 4 line that you can call. The main line is 3030 and the other lines are 3031, 3032, 3033, 3034. The main line is okay however if I call 3034, one out of 3 or 4 calls, it would transfer to the extension after a few second. Any suggestion on what can be wrong?

also my voicemail light indicator isn't showing up after a person leave a msg. Any help with this?

Thank you for any help in this matter. It is greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure that 3034 is programmed to ring just like the other lines and doesn't have somekind of preset forwarding programmed.

i checked CO line for that number and comparing it to the main CO line.

The main CO line (016) in Page A -- Key 13, it shows S110A

The line that is having issue has in that field, S100A.

How do I go about changing that field to S110A instead of S100A.

I think that might be the problem but am not sure.

Flash 40, button 10. The extension number plus 7 adds it or plus 0 removes it.

Be sure to check the preset forward settings for this line on page B just in case.

i looked at the preset forward settings for both line and they are both the same.

Do you think changing that field from S100A to S110A will solve the issue?

can you explain to me what that does?

also flash 40, button 10 is the RING ASSIGNMENTS? so S110A and S100A are ring assignments?

thanks for both of your help in this.

I am curious as to the main greeting answers when the lines are not programmed to ring to 440 or 450.

here is what i have as far as preset forward for these lines:

preset forward day dest = v440
preset fwd vmid = 800
preset fwd night dest = v440
preset fwd special dest = v440

is that what you are referring too?

A few more comments:
The system is probably doing exactly what it was programmed to do. Look for programming errors.
You don't say what the preset forwarding is set to. If 440 is used, you could have an issue with CO VMID digits.
If the voicemail is a pathfinder or dispatch, are all the voice lines set to run the same function? Try dialing the extension ports assigned to the voicemail and listen to what happens. If it never glitches that way, it would point to CO programming. look again in the area of Ed & Derrick's ideas.

Yes. What do you have mailbox 800 doing?
