Hello I have a VoIp Vodavi phone system. The main system is located in my main office. I was told that I could add an additional phone at my other office on the other side of town is this true? Also if so how do I make this happen?
Thanks

You will need a lan card, a dedicated ip for the phone system and an IP phone. You will also need a good Vodavi tech to put it all together for you.

The 3015-71 is not a Ip phone. Most programming will be done at the KSU.I would take Derricks good advice, and fine a good Vodavi tech.

Unless you have the latest software to support the new 8000 series phone, you will need the 3800 or 7000 series phone

Um, no..... The 7008 series IP phone is not supported by older software versions. What software does your KSU have? "Older version" software won't support the 7000 version IP phones. You will likely need to focus on using the 3813-01 or -02 phone if you truly have old software. Still, you are walking a slippery slope in trying to do this with no prior experience. It isn't as easy as it seems. Been there, done that.

Thanks Ed, for educating me. I thought the 7000 series phone was backward compatable for any system that supported the 3800 but of course, now that I think of it, why would it be? I guess I'm fortunate in that all my IP phone installs were such that I was able to use both.

If this is a Triad system...there is no ip phone support. If it is an older XTS I would do an upgrade from anyting older than 2.00 before I tried installing any IP functions.
