I have a customer that has a XTSc that has been in box for 8 years and wants to know about using it for one of his new ventures. He has 4 IP sets that I haven't seen but wants to be able to add up to 4 more IP sets and some analog units along with loud ringers on either the IP sets or for the analog devices.

I assume that all programming has been lost because I doubt that the battery is still charged.

Is this something I should continue to pursue for him and if so does anyone have a tech manual?

I need to give him options and he doesn't want to put a lot of money and time in the XTSc if it can't do the above requirements.

You can check with the sponsor of this site for a manual. Everyone here would also advise you to replace the battery and also upgrade to at least the 2.23 software. For the IP phones, you will need the 4-port VoIP board with the 4-port expansion module. For the local loud ringers, you will need an analog station board. For remote ringers, you will need the VoIP RSGM module that creates an SLT port. to buy the RSGM, you need to use a distributor for IPECS products because Vertical has decided to stock theirs next to the unobtainium.

I might be wrong, but the edge 8000 phones require 4.0?

I just assumed he was talking about the older IP phone models like the 3800 & 7000 series.

Using RSGMS really opens a can of worms...believe me I know from experience.
