Have a customer with an 8 year old STS system.
We've had some weather last week, don't know if it lost power or not. Customer called saying VM not working. We got on site and found the VM empty. No extensions, no MB, nothing.
We defaulted the VM and it came up ok, including previously recorded day, nite and holiday greetings. The greetings were the only thing that survived.

Last year vodavi connected to the system and did a "flash" upgrade.

I've never seen this on an STS in-skin before.

Anyone have any thoughts???

Thanks

It can happen along with all kinds of other things like messages in the wrong boxes, extensions scrambled etc. Flash memory is just not as stable as the hard drive voice mail.

That is because when you record over any factory prompts, they are gone, gone, gone. Always take care to never "erase" a prompt or things can also get a bit confusing.
