I recently obtained an Atlas EX60 digital system from a failed business. The former owner damaged the output connector for the first two keysets when he yanked out the KSU. I repaired it OK. However, I had to reinitialize the system (old dates etc probably due to an expired memory backup battery) The system is basic 4 x 8 plus 4 SLP ports. The KSU is equipped with a Voice Mail card which allegedly functions off a ribbon connector plus an integration cable that plugs into a COM2 serial port. I cannot get the system to recognize the voice mail. I have spent hours searching the internet for documentation on that particular VM card with no luck. I was able to find other sketchy VM data for some of Key Systems other models but not the EX60. Both Com1 (SMDR) and Com2 (VM) led indicators do not blink.
The installation manual for the EX60 is extremely sketchy with very little on VM integration. The programming manual isn't much better for VM either. I have tried to activate the Class of Service 9 and the SLP ports for VM, all to no avail. There is no information on the particular card (the VM circuit card is labelled "VM Rev.C1 and the board has a big chip labelled "Sys.56 V6.01 5FBC")and specific integration procedures.
Can anyone help me with this. I'm desparate to get this thing working since my church needs it also desperately.

FrankV,

I have the manual for the System 56 in either pdf or word format if you need it.
